For Whatever You Are Going Through

I’m sick! And Why?
Cause a virus has gotten a hold on me
Of Me…God’s guy!
Doesn’t it recognize my authority!?
I pray. … And I cry.
To THE ONE WHO has power to heal me
Did I do something wrong? Is this some kind of punishment?
Those thoughts show that I’m not thinking clearly!
So Doc prescribes; And I medicate.
And I want that relief to come instantaneously
But it doesn’t … So I whine.
And say: “God, YOU must be mad at me!?”
But HE’S silent. Agitations persist.
Meditation In HIS WORD is the only relief I get
Symptoms flare, and they wane
In my body … but my mind feels a greater pain
Thoughts of abandonment … maybe death
As my mind goes from zero to way over one hundred
I finally pumped the breaks for my sanity’s sake
And my Savior Spoke just before the break of day
HE asked me this question
In HIS clear, calm … but convicting way
(and this is not poetry, this I truly heard HIM say)
“Do you pray for others as fervently as you pray for yourself???”
I picked up the pen and wrote this down
I didn’t need more words and verses that rhyme.
I must be as passionate for the prayer request of others
As I am when the prayer request are mine
Point taken. Lesson learned.

Do You Believe That God Hears You When You Pray?

Do you believe that God hears you when you pray?
If so, in His Prescence, to HIM, what should you say?
Should you approach HIM with a list of your personal greed’s and demands?
And say “you must do this for me God; just because ‘I believe’ that You can?
If in your prayers to God it’s only life’s material things that you want
I tell you today, in the most direct way, that of “prayer” you have missed the point!
Prayer, God Designed, with His people in mind to unburden our weary souls
Of the stress and the strife that everyday life causes our hearts so tightly to hold
This is why our loving God commands His people to pray to Him, you see
Because relief from life’s dilemmas isn’t found inside of you, or inside of me
Prayer, God also designed with the fate of lost folks at the top of His Mind
The Light of His Salvation, to and on all of the world He wants to shine
We pray as He prayed That they will be freed from their condemned eternity
To keep folks out of the devil’s hell … we must pray and pray most fervently
Prayer is the entering into the presence of The Most Holy God
If you are truly born again, prayer is not an accessory … IT IS YOUR JOB
You have been chosen for this work of faith (prayer) to do
Prayer is a special, and powerful privilege that Almighty God has granted to you!
Yes, The God Of The Universe “does” hears us when we pray
All believers have access to the throne of God … a capability HE purposely gave
We must take the issues of earth to Heaven, to Him Who Is Mighty To Save
We must understand that this tool (prayer) God has so graciously blessed us with
Is not a toy for tots, but for committed men and women, it’s a most precious gift.

ADVENTURE or ORDEAL

Life is always hard to figure out
It’s twist and turns come unannounced
It throws us curves and makes us doubt
That anything good will ever come about
We look for signs here, there, and everywhere
We’ll accept help from almost anybody out there
We never seem to get from life what we think is fair
And we reach the conclusion that no one really cares
Life’s ordeals are common for us all
We all are children of “The Fall”
Adam’s sin broke life beyond our repair
And no where is it written that “Life Shall Be Fair”
But Jesus Christ came to fix that which was broken
And we are made whole by the Words He Has Spoken
His Word, to the world, His Power, Plan and Purpose reveal
He rose from the death He suffered; and by His stripes we are healed
He taught us that life does not have to be an ordeal
He said that believing in Him is what makes living real
He said, if we follow Him, He’d make life an adventure
He has opened Heavens door and He bids us to enter
So, if your troubled heart says your life is only an ordeal
Come unto Jesus, and your wounded soul He will heal
Twist, turns and curves will still be part of life’s adventure
Journey through life with Jesus and your destination will be Heaven’s Grandeur.
How Deep Is Your Love For "ME"

"How deep is your love for ME?"
I heard Jesus say one day:
“Do you shun ME in the sunshine;
And only call ME to stop the rain?”
“How deep is your love for ME?”
Jesus asked me once again
“Am I just your insurance plan
to keep you from the flames?” “
How deep is your love for ME?”
Jesus asked me one more time
I had to stop and look inside
this selfish heart of mine
I saw how really shallow and superficial
my professed love for Jesus can be
The Holy Spirit made it official
and HE brought me to my knees
I saw that I did not give back to HIM
even one tenth of the love HE gave
I saw that I just wanted HIM
from all my problems … to save
I saw that I … who sometimes lie
and, whine and cheat and steal
Don’t even take the time to show
my best friends that HE IS REAL
I saw that I don’t seek HIS FACE
for HIS SPIRIT my soul to fill
I just give HIM my shopping list
and beg HIM to do “my” will
I confessed my lack of depth of love
which should be deeper than the ocean
and I vowed to make HIM my priority
and not just go through religious motions
If Jesus asked that question of you
How would you reply?
HE gave HIS LIFE on Calvary
When on the cross, for you, HE DIED
To Those On the Front Line

To those on the front line
Fighting against invisible carriers of death
We pray for your strength ... of supernatural kind
Though you may feel you have none left
Be sure that GOD has a master plan
To heal this hurting land
He has chosen You to stand tall and true
And deliver the healing HE's placed in Your Hand's
You have learned and trained and trained and learned
Your gifts and talents to enact
You sacrificed for the titles You earned
Now... the fruits of your learning...You are surly giving back
As you serve those who are sick, fearful,confused and maybe even bitter
Your skillful hands and heartfelt words
Show them you care; And none of YOU are quitters
Keep the faith, stay safe, stay the course
GOD is working through You in this war
And even though You will have some remorse
Winning the ultimate victory is what GOD has You here for...

I Am Love

I Am Love
I have need’s that are stronger than any addiction
To engage you, expand and reproduce myself
I desire, in every area of your life, to be THE dominating obsession
To consume you, to be acted-out through you, and not just be sat up on your shelf
I am mankind’s greatest need
From God The Father I have been sent
Coveting more of me is true prosperity (it’s a good-greed)
Because every ‘cent’ of me you get, is pleasing to HIM when “I” am spent
I am ever-true, eternal, never-ending, never run-out, I never even run low
Embrace me, give me your heart, and your heart inside of you will overflow
So you can use me, then give me away, and repeat the process over and over again
I will change/transform your life and even pay the price to cover all your sins
I am here!!! but to possess me YOU must accept me
I will not force myself on anyone
Though many have misunderstood, misdirected and misused me
You can find me truly expressed in and through God's Only-begotten Son
