Bible Study Questions...

 Wednesday Night Bible Questions 2/24/21

1.  From John 9:2: How did the disciples know that the man had been born blind?

2.  Does verse 3 mean that God decided to make this man blind just so that Jesus could heal him at that particular time in his life and in Jesus’ ministry?

3.  What do “day” and “night” mean (or signify) in verse 4? What can we learn?

4.  From vs.5: Was Jesus only in the world for the 3 years of His Earthly ministry … if not, is He still in the world… if so, why don’t we see these kinds of miracles in our day?

5.  What is the significance of ‘clay’ and the ‘saliva’ in verse 6?

6.  Why did Jesus send the man to wash in the pool before he received his sight; And how did he get there since he was blind? What can we learn?

7.  From vs’s. 8-12: Why are his neighbors questioning his identity … and where are the people that express happiness about his amazing healing?

8.  From vs.13&16: Why is it important that Jesus did this miracle on the Sabbath? What does it mean to “keep the Sabbath”? Should we keep it?

9.  Why did the religious leaders not believe the formerly blind man’s testimony and not even believe that had been blind?

10. Since the leaders had already agreed not to confess Jesus (verse 22) what was the division between them here in vs.16?

11. 18-23: Please explain 18-23 in any way that will make you (and me) not feel angry, sick or disgusted about it?

12. Share your thoughts about the inquisition of the formerly blind man by the religious leaders. What did you, or what can we learn?
